HOLY WEEK FAQ
+ What is Holy Week and who is it for?
Holy Week is an extended time to reflect on the final days of Jesus' life leading up to His death and resurrection. At EVERYDAY, we begin this week with Palm Sunday, followed by daily meditation sets in the Prayer Room and Good Friday services, and we conclude with Resurrection Sunday.
Holy Week is for everyone — whether you’ve followed Jesus for years or you’re curious about faith. It’s an invitation to reflect, worship, and encounter the love of Jesus together as a community.
+ Do I need to register for Holy Week or can I just show up?
The only services requiring registration are Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. There is no registration for Palm Sunday or the daily meditation sets - we'll see you in the Prayer Room!
+ Will Holy Week be livestreamed?
Yes! All of our services and meditation sets during Holy Week will be livestreamed. If you're unable to attend, join us online!
+ Can children and families attend Holy Week?
Yes! We want the whole family to participate in Holy Week! Check back on the Holy Week landing page closer to the week of programming for a Family Guide that offers resources on how to engage with Holy Week as a family!
Note: The tone of our Good Friday service is more reflective and somber, and will include moments of silence.
+ What should I expect at the daily meditation sets?
Daily meditation sets are quieter, reflective times in the Prayer Room where we focus on Scripture, worship, and prayer as we meditate on the story of Jesus leading up to the cross. These sets create space to slow down, listen to the Lord, and prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday.
+ What is “The Silent Sabbath” on Saturday?
Silent Sabbath is a time of quiet reflection between Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. It marks the day Jesus’ body rested in the tomb and invites us to pause in stillness, remembering the weight of the cross while waiting in hope for the resurrection. You are welcome to come and go at any time between 9 AM - 12 PM. We ask that everyone in attendance remain silent in honor and acknowledgement of Jesus' sacrifice.
+ Is EVERYDAY KIDS available for the Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday services?
Yes! For Good Friday, EVERYDAY KIDS programming will be available for Infants through Kindergarten during the 6 PM service ONLY. For Resurrection Sunday, EVERYDAY KIDS will be open for Infants through Kindergarten at all three services (10:30 AM, 2:30 + 5:30 PM).
Because space is limited, registration is required. If registration is filled, check back regularly for any cancellations that may open additional spots.
+ When do doors open before each set/service?
Doors open 15 minutes before each service. In respect for the tone of Holy Week, we ask that conversations be kept quiet and to a minimum before and after Holy Week sets.
+ What should I wear? (encourage people to wear attire fitted for mourning to the Good Friday service + dress your best for Resurrection Sunday!)
Come as you are!
For Good Friday, we encourage you to wear black / darker clothing as we remember the sacrifice of Jesus.
For Resurrection Sunday, we encourage you to celebrate the joy of the resurrection by dressing your Sunday best!
+ Will there be regular Prayer Room hours outside of the meditation sets during Holy Week?
The Prayer Room will be open earlier in the day, but hours may be shortened. Please check the Prayer Room schedule for hours.
+ I've never been to EVERYDAY before, is Holy Week a good time to come?
We would love for you to join us! Holy Week is one of the most meaningful times of the year to visit! It’s a powerful opportunity to experience the story of Jesus again or for the first time.
